Our little guy likes to sleep. That's about all he's done since his birth last night. That was a blessing, as we'd been up for more than 24 hours. We managed to get about 5 hours of sleep last night.
Kathleen is absolutely blissed out. She's a bit sore, but has no complaints. All she wants to do is bond with her baby boy. It's the cutest thing ever.
We'll stay one more night in the hospital and head home tomorrow. I have the week off; Kathleen has the next five-or-so months off.
We appreciate the calls, text messages, e-mails, Tweets and Facebook comments (it's amazing how many ways there are to communicate now). We can't respond to them all at this point, so know that we love and appreciate all of it.

What a beautiful baby! Who would have thought that he had a "bit of bother" coming out? He looks so big until I see him cuddled in his mommy's arms and then he looks so little. Congratulations you will make great parents for LG aka Ryan!!!!!

Wow! Klapheen is a Mom. What a beautiful baby boy, and we love the name. Elizabeth told us you said this was the hardest thing you've ever done....I'll follow up with you on that in about 20 years. We love all of you very much! Congratulations
What a cutie pie! Can't wait to meet him in August. BTW---you can leave him with me for the whole week while you are basking by the pool at Portofino---between Ryan and Sophie, I think the grandma's will have it covered. Congratulations---Jenny
