An arky, arky!

My mother sent this charming addition to the LG's nursery: A kinetic Noah's ark.

The little animals' heads sway when the ark rocks back and forth on its pedestal. It is the sweetest thing. I can't wait to hold the baby and name all the creatures. Mom meant for this to arrive by Christmas, but due to various shipping mishaps it only arrived a few days ago.

After unpacking it I was flooded with memories of vacation bible school and Campfire camp, where we sang that Noah's Ark song. Remember? "So Noah, he built him, he built him an arky, arky... made it out of hickory barky, barky. ... The animals, they came on, they came on by twosie, twosies ... elephants and kangaroosies, roosies."

Rise and shine, people.

I loved that song in VBS and Campfire, too! Great memories.
