The screaming angry crying baby was taken in for repairs, and it was determined during a 2:45 a.m. phone call Saturday morning to a sleepy pediatrician that perhaps the baby was, well, hungry.
Turns out she was right. On Saturday night we made up a bottle of formula and Ryan slammed it like a college kid in Wisconsin. Then he filled his diaper, slept, then awoke for more formula AND breastmilk and slept some more.

It's Tuesday now, and since this weekend Ryan has eaten us out of house and home, including burning through a bag of Doritos and a few brownie bites. Oh, wait, that was me.
He's the happy baby we ordered. Thank you all for your prayers and supportive messages and phone calls, because those really kept Hunter and I going as we struggled last week. And now he's going between breast and bottle with ease, eating every 2-3 hours, and going through diapers like a pro.
When he's awake, he's so awesome we can hardly stand it. He likes sitting near the window and the natural light, works to hold his head up, and likes to be put on his feet every now and then. Watching his little frog legs straighten out is pretty cute. Here are some images from the past few days.

Little Ryan loves Lisa and Marce, core members of my mommy posse. During this visit the issue of eating chocolate while breastfeeding came up. Some of those !@#$%^&*() books recommend against it. Quoth Lisa: "Yeah, screw that."
Ryan also has started enjoying a little Hannah Montana, especially when his big sister holds him before school.

Hunter went back to work today, and I know he's really sad about that. He must have kissed the baby 18 times if he did it once before he left the house this morning. We miss him, too.

He had a bath this weekend, and his reaction to someone shampooing his hair was remarkably similar to mine when I go to the salon.

Finally, Grandma came. Ryan will be cuddled for days on end.

I am so glad that Ryan is happy. If he's happy then everybody's happy. It's amazing but it's the little things that make us happy. A cozy warm bed, a full belly and a clean diaper are obviously at the top of the list. Remember that when I am old....Mimi
Glad to hear that things are going better. He is just too cute for words! Hang in there and say hello to your mom for me.
He is so stinkin' cute!!! I love the top photo...he's looking at you like "seriously, are you going to distrub me before i eat? Can a guy get some privacy here?!"
Speaking of privacy, ya gotta hide those little boy parts if you're posting on the internet! ;-)
BTW - he totally look sliek Kathleen!
