High parental expectations

The historic events happening in our country are firing up the Littlest George.

Any time I read the phrase "$700 billion bailout," I get a little kick. Any time the presidential candidates are on television, I get a little kick. Baby doesn't care so much for Law & Order – but then, I used to nap through that show, too.

I think it's safe to assume Hunter's and my baby is genetically wired to love the news and politics. Maybe he or she is getting tons of awesome information mainlined into the brain through mama's incredibly informed umbilical cord, and the kicks are his or her way of saying let's read The New York Times next.

Or maybe the baby just kicks after I eat, or when I'm yelling at the television.

It's hard to say.
