One was awesome and has a wait list, and the other is good but the director irritated me. Both are, well, pricey so we're looking into selling Hunter's left kidney on eBay. What? He has two.
Anyway, we've just scratched the surface on childcare so I'll be posting more about that in the next few months. A lot of what we decide to do is tied up with my getting a new work schedule, which PLEASE, GOD, PLEASE may happen in the next month. Maybe then I can get the I'm Ready For Change tattoo removed from my forehead.
After taking care of business I headed to Babies R Us to buy a shower gift for my cousin Ashley. It was the first time I've been in that store that I didn't hyperventilate. I even managed to check out some of the bedding, which Hunter and I had decided would set the color scheme for nursery decoration. I was feeling discouraged because a lot of the bedding sets were, well, a little over the top for my taste. And then I found this:

I love this pattern. I love its simplicity and sweetness, and I love the colors. This sage green is what I've had in mind for months.
The bedding set was the last one available, so I grabbed it. Design team, take note! I'm actually not procrastinating this stuff. Everyone is amazed. I have a to-do list that's growing by the day.

Cute pattern. You are going to have a calm baby. My first baby wasn't but then you know that.
I think my thoughts about babies and baby decor and babies r us and all of that are well documented. But this is the cutest bedding ever. Excellent job!! I love it!
Love, love LOVE it! That's totally what I would have done had I not gone the over-the-top lavendar way since we knew Stinkerbell (my latest nickname for her) was gonna be a girl. I don't see any reason to have all cutesy animal stuff (which is great for other people)...I'm training my kid to have Pottery Barn tastes. :-)
