Big news in the George household:
Hunter is now the assistant managing editor for news!
And by household, I mean the newspaper, where we spend 75 percent of our waking hours.
For those of you who work outside our little cult, that means that he's in charge of all local news production instead of only politics. He'll make decisions about what's going on the front page, among his 1,286 other duties.
The Littlest George and I are incredibly proud of Hunter. He's been working toward this goal for some time, and I'm especially happy because this will make our management/labor discussions really fun. He's usually wrong, and now he'll be at a higher pay grade and wrong. On the bright side, maybe we can save his kidney.
Hunter's promotion was the first announcement in our newsroom's reorganization. Stay tuned for updates involving the hiring of the Littlest George to blog in utero. The kid's gotta earn his or her keep.
