This entry is deep-fried

We've been in Birmingham since Tuesday, and I haven't sweated through a shirt yet because the weather is unseasonably cool. Highlights so far:

>> Chick-Fil-A at the Atlanta Airport. Who needs culture when you have fried chicken sandwiches?

>> Takeout dinner from Miss Myra's BBQ, then hearing a salacious George family tale while a few members of the family were out catching tadpoles and getting eaten by mosquitos -- and who therefore couldn't tell their side of the story. Family lore is better gathered in pieces.

>> Delivering the latest Mimi Masterpiece to the gallery that will be presenting her work as part of a show Friday night, which we will attend before eating dinner at The Fish Market, where I will be so happy to be wearing The Maternity Dress.

>> Having it be just our family at the pool, where it feels like Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous and we speak in fake accents until the doctors' wives show up with their perfect bodies and gaggle of sons under age 5. Seriously, there are no girls. It's weird. Also, being around those women is a HUGE help for my body image. Especially since I'm in the Eat Everything In My Path phase of pregnancy.

I've neglected to take a single picture so far, proving I'm not yet a well-rounded blogger. But I will share some choice shots from my in-laws' collection of Embarrassingly Cute Photos of Hunter:

Payback is a worry, but he'll have to post here first.
