He's on the move. This morning, at six months plus one week, he got his knees under him and moved under his own power.
The other noteworthy thing about today was that it was the second day of what is supposed to be record heat, with highs in the 90s. The temperature tomorrow is supposed to hit 100. We have no air conditioning. So Ryan might just crawl out the door while his father and I lay dead of heat stroke. Neighbors! Watch out!
Mercy, we need to childproof the house. I looked around this morning and our living room is a Baby Strangle Obstacle Course. And at the end of that, there's the Poke An Eye Out Coffee Table. It's wood, metal and glass. It's lovely. And it's got to go.
Guess what we'll be doing this weekend?

That's amazing! I love how he get to his knees so quickly and then he has to think abotu what to do next. Love him!! What a smart little man - he's going to crawl early.
wOW! He's such a strong little guy. Maybe he will be a on the Men's Olympic Gumnastics Team. I love the way he keeps looking back at you to see if you are watching him perform his newest trick. Julie has some foam stuf that wrapped around their hearth. Maybe you can use it on the coffee table.
Too bad there is no spell check here.
Yeah, Ryan! Great job...before you know it, you'll be faster than your mom can keep up with!
