The first thing that made him laugh was my impression of the Cookie Monster when I was changing his diaper. Maddie likes to tell Ryan what Sesame Street character is on the diaper, so I do it when Maddie's not here.
(Big Bird, Elmo, Grover, and Ernie – "he's friends with that other guy," Maddie says. "Bert?" I say. "Yeah, he's weird," Maddie says. "Why is he weird?" I say. "I don't know, he has a weird head." I laugh to myself and decide now's probably not the time to discuss Bert and Ernie's ambiguous relationship.)
But I digress. One time the diaper character was the Cookie Monster, and when I said "coo-KEE, coo-KEE, coo-KEE," Ryan laughed, so I've said "coo-KEE, coo-KEE, coo-KEE" every day since then like a crazed dessert fiend. Usually Ryan just smiles at me, thinking, she should have a cookie and leave me alone.
Notably not funny: Baby Alive. That chick is weird.
The other things that have made him laugh are my putting his foot in his mouth, and Hunter doing a high-pitched "hee hee hee." I tell you all this so you understand why I'm so goofy in this video, which was the first time he laughed long enough to get it on film.
So go ahead, play this over and over. It'll make your Grinchy heart grow three sizes.

I have said over and over that Max's giggle is my favorite sound in the whole world. It still is!
So sweet!
Ok his giggle is seriously cute. Do you think his "bride to be" has learned how to giggle yet....or I guess if he takes after his dad and chooses a yuounger chick then she isn't even born yet!!!! (I love exclamation points...they were invented for people like me)
